The San Mateo County Fire Department- Loma Mar Volunteers, established in June 1974, is located on Pescadero Creek Road in Loma Mar, California. The department is made up completely of volunteer firefighters from the community.
The mission of the Fire Brigade is to support the Fire Department to minimize loss of lives, injury to persons and damage to property from fires, natural disasters, accidents, and other emergencies.
The La Honda Volunteer Fire Brigade exists to protect the lives, property and environment within the community and surrounding areas served from fires, disasters and emergency incidents through education, prevention, training and emergency response. As a Brigade we are a group of individuals organized to function as a unit in order to serve the visions, values and goals of our community.
