Every move I make here can be held to three standards:

First - I believe that "it is better to have the will to prepare to
win than just to have the will to win." I will make every effort to
assure that we are fiscally, mentally, and logistically prepared
to respond to any situation - whether emergency,
administrative, or reource management.

Third - The CAL FIRE box is very big. We just need to look
"within" and apply what we already have or do to new and

Chief Ferreira is married with four grown children and makes
his home in San Juan Bautista. He has served the California
Department of Forestry and Fire Protection for over 30 years.
